Cereal Tower Revealed at Pack Meeting on Tuesday, April 17

Posted on Apr 14 2012 - 5:42pm

Our next Pack Meeting is on Tuesday, April 17, at 7:00pm in the Bell-Graham cafeteria. We will have a guest speaker from the Northern Illinois Food Bank, and we’ll unveil the results of the Cereal Drive that the boys have been working on for the past week. And, we’ll still have all the features that make Pack Meetings fun: Skits, songs, awards, announcements, and, of course, games.

Please Sign Up for Our Service Project at Northern Illinois Food Bank on April 28

Posted on Apr 2 2012 - 8:45am

Pack 801 has been given a wonderful opportunity to volunteer at the Northern Illinois Food Bank (in Geneva) on April 28 from 9-11am. The Cub Scouts will sort, pack, and organize food and supplies that will be sent to local families in need. The NIFB distributes over 34.8 million pounds of food (which is the equivalent of 29 million meals) to our hungry neighbors. The NIFB provides nearly 1.3 million meals to children through their Youth Nutrition Program. Pack 801 is excited and proud to be working with this organization to help fight hunger in Northern Illinois. We need your help in making this important community service project a success. Please register here by April 13th to volunteer. Please note that each Cub Scout needs to be accompanied by an adult for this project. If you have any questions, please contact Andrea Lo Faso (630) 584-6039 or Amy Majewski (630) 973-9573. The address and telephone number for the NIFB are outlined below.
