Last Reminder for Pinewood Derby

Posted on Jan 21 2023 - 8:47pm

Don't forget to check in your car on Friday evening and to pay your activity fee if you haven't already! Also, it's been a few years, but we are bringing back a small concession stand during Pinewood Derby, so be sure to bring a few dollars for snacks during the race on Saturday.

Pinewood Derby - Sibling Car Entries

Posted on Jan 12 2023 - 9:49am

SIBLINGS may also enter cars for Pinewood Derby! We will have a separate race and design competition for any siblings who would like to make a car. Just purchase the kit yourself from the Scout Shop and make sure to check in all cars on Check-In Night!

Pinewood Derby Time!

Posted on Jan 7 2023 - 4:57pm

Pinewood Derby is quickly approaching, with Check-In on Jan 27 and the Race on Jan 28. This is a favorite event, so be sure to start working on your car and don't miss it! Car Kits were given to scouts by Santa at the December Pack Meeting. If you were not at that meeting, check with your Den Leader to receive your kit. A Rule Sheet was also included, so please read that thoroughly. Cars need to pass inspection on Friday night, and we are sticklers for the rules! If your scout is going for Design rather than Speed, the size regulations are more lenient, but still the car may NOT weigh more than 5oz (we measure to the .000 so make sure you are slightly UNDERWEIGHT at home). See the Pinewood Derby link on the left for more info.

The Council offers Free Car Cutting days, so feel free to attend on Jan 14th, 10am-2pm at the Naperville Scout Shop, 4S100 Rt 59

Also- ALL FEES MUST BE PAID FOR THE SCOUT TO BE ABLE TO RACE! We still have a lot of outstanding Activity Fees, so please check with Stephanie Chabura if you aren't sure if you have paid. I will be sending out emails this week to families who still owe the Activity Fee. If your scout didn't sell popcorn, you probably still owe money :-)

Activity Fee and Popcorn Due!

Posted on Oct 22 2022 - 11:55am

Please remember to pay your Activity Fee (Popcorn Buyout) of $200 if you are not selling popcorn and haven't already paid, either in Online Payments on the pack website, or drop a check to "Pack 801" at 3N777 Arbor Creed Rd. Also, I changed the Popcorn Turn In hours a little so it is now 3-5:30 on the 23rd (Sunday). Unless I've told you a different time, please come during those hours to turn in any popcorn orders and money. You can refer to the Popcorn Sales Info link on the website for the breakdown of fees and qty of popcorn to sell. Let me know if you have any questions!

Reminder - Recharter Fee Due at Pack Meeting!

Posted on Sep 15 2022 - 9:43pm

Just a friendly reminder that the yearly Recharter Fee is due by the September Pack Meeting. This is the fee that goes directly to BSA and our Council for our ongoing membership.
